A rolling programme of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Groups and classes

CBT has become an increasingly popular therapeutic approach for helping people with a wide range of emotional difficulties.  It suggests that how we feel, think and behave are all related and that changes to our thoughts and behaviour will instructively influence our negative feelings.
Different groups are offered throughout the year.

We are currently updating this programme. We are now offering  a rolling assertiveness training group.
We are also planning to offer a class called Stress Control,  a six session course for people who want to learn better ways to get on top of common emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, panic, poor sleep, and low self confidence. Stress Control is a class  not group therapy so you do not have to talk about your problems. You just come and learn some good ways to control stress.
If you  are interested in any of these courses please leave your name and number  for Clare or Jo and they will get back to you.

                              Monday Supportive Therapy Group

                              Facilitator:           Brian Hone    Time:         7.30pm – 9.30pm

The group offers those experiencing emotional difficulties, including anxiety, panic and depression, a safe place to share their experiences with others who cope with similar issues.

At certain times we find the stress and strains of life increasingly difficult to manage and the process of sharing experiences, reflecting on our lives and relating to others in a group can lead to more understanding of ourselves and the fears which can limit our choices.

How to join the Group: Numbers in the group are limited so please call the Centre on 0208 853 1735 and leave a message for Brian.

One of our particular concerns is the experience of women; how they express who they are and the quality of life they wish to have.

With this in mind, the Women’s Group was created for women  to come together and have space to discuss and explore experiences, ideas and issues that interest them.  It is also an opportunity for women to meet other women and spend time together.  Crèche available
